Target
Social Media
Social media aligns well with the principles of NSS advocacy by enabling individuals to contribute to participatory dialogue about social issues, collaborate on change efforts, and establish a sense of community through a more organized, reliable, and insightful discussion or sharing of thoughts between people.
Social Media Users
With the growing population of social media users, NSS advocacy would help individuals (children, adults, and older adults) to express their views effectively and also to understand other people’s points of view with regard to certain problems or issues. It is why media literacy and mindfulness are also important elements of using social media platforms. According to Campbell, he referred to it as "media mindedness", which he sees as a concerted effort to care about how we use social media rather than utilizing it to harm or cause conflict with others.
Influencers
The NSS advocacy would enable influential people on social media to address issues or problems in a more conscious, perceptive, and well-informed manner, which would foster a greater connection and engage people to practice good criticism of certain social issues and to pay close attention to change by demonstrating awareness, experience, and education. Providing people with resources, practical tools, and design-thinking methods to help them learn more about an issue or any topic at hand.
